CUVEE ESOR - Harvests 2017 & 2018
Cellared : February 2019
BLEND : 35% Chardonnay - 20% Pinot Noir - 45% Pinot Meunier
with local red wine
This cuvée is crafted mainly from black grape varieties, predominantly vinified as white wine, with approximately 11% as red wine.
It features a lighter yet persistent effervescence, creating a creamy and pleasant mouthfeel.
Appearance: The color is a rosé with hints of tile and copper tones.
Palate:
The black grape varieties dominate the tasting with fruity notes blending red fruits (strawberries, cherries) and small dark berries (blackberries, blackcurrants), thanks to a well-balanced sugar dosage of around 8g per bottle gives the wine a round, approachable texture.
The palate is fresh and vibrant,, with an elegant hint of blackcurrant bitterness that adds depth and structure.
A soft almond note emerges mid-palate, while the finish lingers with a bright, tangy freshness.
Food Pairing :
This is an elegant, feminine Champagne, ideal as an aperitif. It also pairs beautifully with rack of lamb, rib-eye steak, and a wide variety of fruity desserts (strawberry or raspberry cakes, clafoutis, apple tart, etc.).
